Static mixer
In static mixers the fluid is pumped through a pipe containing stationary blades. This mixing technique is particularly well suited for laminar flow mixing because it gives small pressure losses in this flow regime. In this example, the flow in a twisted blade static mixer is studied.
Ahmed body
The Ahmed body represents a simplified, ground vehicle geometry of a bluff body type. Its shape is realistic enough to allow for accurate flow simulation but retains some important practical features relevant to automobile bodies.
